Unannounced Survival Project

This Unannounced Survival Project is a narrative-heavy, first-person survival adventure game for a popular Brighton, England-based Studio. Unfortunately, I can't go into further detail due to NDA. However, I was on this project from conception all the way till the start of pre-production (roughly 8 months). Some of the main things I did within this project were:

I owned the implementation of the mission scripting/inkpot narrative and hooking up all the narrative script/dialogue and pacing it to the correct triggers in the environment.

I was a feature owner for the crafting system and all of its UI/UX in which I designed the crafting system itself as well as all it's interfaces. I worked with closely with code to get this implemented and functioning correctly within mission script as certain parts required bespoke custom nodes to function with their plugins.

Created level objects & mechanics such as: Pickups, Environmental Hazards, Puzzles & Equipment.

Created tools to help with level design such as toggleable features and implementing features/mechanics at the request of Level Design.

Helped Level Design with the more complex tasks such as adding our mechanics/tools such as our compass and ensuring all mechanics worked as expected for LD.

Created Gyms to test and perfect our 3C’s/mechanics.

Designed input mapping for KBM & Gamepad for all aspects of gameplay and turned them into GDD's.

Researched & documented reference titles within Confluence.

Helped with playtests and compiling/editing video footage for milestones.

Kept Confluence, Miro and Jira up to date.
